ESET NOD32 has got the 64th VB100 award in the testing of Virus Bulletin

Testing was done on the server platform, Windows Server 2003. To receive VB100 awards antivirus was necessary to recognize all viruses from the collection of WildList, consisting of more than 14 thousand samples, and to avoid false positives when testing more than 450 thousand of "clean" files. Antivirus ESET NOD32 Business Edition successfully coped with the problem, detected 100% WildList-threats, and 100% of polymorphic viruses.

Total of 38 participants, only 24 managed to pass the test.
Another group of Virus Bulletin tests to evaluate quality of recognition of the most recent virus threats, including those that were created after the "freezing" the antivirus databases. To this end, researchers have collected 4 sets of samples, three, two, one week before the "freezing" the bases, and a week later. The audit of all 4 sets for each product displayed average indicator RAP (Reactive and Proactive) as a percentage. Antivirus ESET NOD32 Business Edition showed the best result among all the 38 products that participated in testing - 91.64%.

As the experts Virus Bulletin, ESET product is not only a high level of detection of threats and modest system requirements. For example, in intensive mode file accesses the level of memory usage increases by only 2.32% compared with the system without antivirus. The testbed includes 4GB of RAM. NOD32 has used the actual keys for such tests.
